We’re back from holiday with a new interview and a new message – Ladies, support your women-based businesses! Today, we’re going to learn more about Untamed MTB, an apparel company started by Katie Bedigian.
Based in Utah, Untamed MTB is a mountain bike apparel brand that came to fruition through a love of design and the outdoors. Our goal is to share our passion for art and adventure. Mountain biking allows us to explore the wild, untamed landscapes of the world and we want to help you have fun while doing it. #rideuntamed
Let’s start with the obvious! What is Untamed MTB?
Untamed MTB is a women’s mountain bike apparel brand.
How was Untamed MTB birthed, who was involved, and could you give us a little timeline of the notable growths you’ve had as well?
Untamed MTB came to fruition through a love of design and the outdoors. I started Untamed MTB on my own with the hopes of contributing more apparel options for women, while also giving back to trails. A few years ago the idea to start this company was just a daydream, but that daydream came to life in July 2021 when I launched the brand. Since then I’ve met so many awesome people and hope to continue making those connections in 2022.
You guys have some really awesome designs, what’s your inspiration?
I think my inspiration comes from a few places. I grew up at a time where wild patterns, colors, and surf/skate culture had emerged. I think that, mixed with my love for nature, has influenced my design style.
Ok, give me the pitch! Why should we shop with you?
Untamed MTB will give 10% of sales to mountain bike trail foundations. It’s important that we continue to build and maintain the trails we love to ride. This year I teamed up with IMBA. I thought IMBA would be a great fit because they are an international association and people from all over can benefit from their trail work.

What’s the future of Untamed MTB looking like for 2022, can we look forward to seeing you at any events?
I’m hoping to continue growing the brand by connecting with people. I’m in the process of building out my 2022 calendar and as of right now my first couple of events will be Sedona Mountain Bike Festival in March and Sea Otter Classic in April.
